The Concert Hall, Toronto live recordings and venue details
Opened in 1918 as the Masonic Temple, it has also been known as Club 888, the Rock Pile, and now The Concert Hall. As a live music venue it has hosted many great bands throughout the years, including Toronto's first Led Zeppelin concert in 1969, and was used as a rehersal space in September 1997 for the Rolling Stones Bridges To Babylon Tour.

Historic timeline
- The building was designed by William F. Sparling as the official headquarters for Canadian Freemasons and opened in 1918.
- In the 1960's the space was renamed The Rock Pile and became a legendary rock venue in Toronto, hosting early shows for bands like The Who, Led Zeppelin (their first Toronto show in 1969), and The Grateful Dead.
- In the 1980's the space was renamed to The Concert Hall with many hip-hop, grunge, and rock shows. Legendary performances include Cypress Hill, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, and many more.
- The Rolling Stones used the Masonic Hall as rehearsal space in the summer of 1997 for their Bridges to Babylon tour
- For a time the space was slated for demolition and redevelopment, but was saved and has since been protected under the Ontario Heritage Act. The address - three eights - is seen as lucky in some cultures, making the spot even more sought after.
- The property was sold to CTV in 1998 and used as a TV studio to broadcast Open Mike with Mike Bullard. Then in 2006 to 2012 it was used as Bell Media (MTV).
