In the '80s, this wedge-shaped wonder was gifted to Denmark's crown prince (now king), earning it the nickname 'Prince Car.' Today, I got behind the wheel of one - a non-turbo 1.7 - that belongs to the actual mayor of Assens.

What's it like to drive? Surprisingly fun. Quirky pop-up headlights, digital dash, and just enough '80s charm to make you smile. It was the first front-wheel drive Volvo, and features a four seat, three-door hatchback body. A slow car with a royal past - and a local connection.
