Historic Toronto photos from Spadina Road

Spadina Road is northern-most part of 'Spadina' in general, running north from Bloor Street at the top of Spadina Avenue and ending at Eglinton Avenue West (with a short section north of Eglinton between Chaplain Crescent and North Preparatory Junior Public school).

The name Spadina comes from the Ojibwa word ishpadinaa meaning a high place or ridge and first appeared on a published map in 1834.
