History in Toronto is a modern '2,500-person state-of-the-art live music and entertainment venue' just a streetcar ride east of downtown Toronto. It is a collaboration between Canadian musician Drake and American company Live Nation Entertainment.

Historic timeline

The property was originally part of the Woodbine Race Course as far back as 1874, eventually renamed to the Greenwood Raceway until it closed in 1993.
The building itself was previously known as Greenwood Teletheatre , or Champions at Greenwood, and was used for off-track betting.
The venue was set to open in October 2021, but was postponed to November 7, 2021, when the venue officially opened to the public. The inaugural concert on its opening day was performed by Bleachers.
