Formed in 1982 in Burlington, Ontario, the Spoons are a cornerstone of the Canadian new wave and synth-pop scene. They mastered the intersection of electronic textures and catchy melodies, with the compelling stage presence of Gordon Deppe (lead vocals, guitar) and Sandy Horne (bass). With their success in the mid-1980s they helped define the New Wave era.
