Video description

Bernt Ståhl meets Torsten Andersson and his unmodified Saab 92A from 1951. We will look through the car and then a test drive of the car will follow.

The Saab 92 was a Swedish passenger car manufactured by Saab. The chief designer and driving force behind the project was Gunnar Ljungstrom. Sixten Sason was responsible for the design. The model is equipped with a two-cylinder two-stroke engine of 764 ccand a three-speed gearbox. At first, the car was only available in the color bottle green, because Saab had enormous amounts of that color left over from aircraft production during World War II.

The Saab 92 had several modern solutions, such as front-wheel drive, transverse engine, torsion suspension, rack and pinion steering and a self-supporting body with very good aerodynamics, while it did not have a trunk lid - for cost reasons and to stiffen the rear chassis.
