Video description

The Jensen H-type was a series of cars introduced in about 1938 powered by the George Nash sourced 4 1/2 L in-line eight cylinder built on a Ford chassis. This car from 1939 is the 4 door saloon model with a hard top, and a soft top was also available. The exact number of saloon cars built isn't exactly known, with an estimate of between 12 and 15 examples. Rumour has it that someone has cut the roof off one of those saloon models to make it into a sports touring type of car.

Besides the Nash sourced green engine, the Jensen model H8 saloon also has cross leaf front and rear suspension, and a Ford manufactured Columbia two speed overdrive transmission.
