Video description

(See a review of a similar 1968 Honda S800 convertible here.)

In 1965 Honda Changed Everything. They made the world's smallest supercar. It was so good they used an excuse to stop it being sold in the USA.

Go for a spin in a 1968 Honda S800 coupe - the two door sports car weighs just 771 kilos, and the 791 cc engine will rev up to 8,500 RPM with overhead cams and quad carbs putting out 70 hp at 8,500rpm.

Built to compete with the small British sports cars of the era, like the Triumph Spitfire and Austin Healey, the Honda is small and motorcycle like. They did so well Road and Track compared it to the more expensive Lotus Elan.
