Bata Shoes Head Office

The white Bata Shoes Head Office stood on a grassy hill between Wynford Drive and Eglinton Ave East from 1965 through 2007. Designed by architect John B. Parkin, it was one of many examples of the growth of Don Mills and a 1960s-era Modern Movement architecture.The building was supported by rows of nine columns 'growing' from the ground, under the second and third stories.

The Aga Khan Foundation was not able to work the building into their plans for the the Aga Khan Museum and Ismaili Centre which now stand on the site.
