Rossin House Hotel

The Rossin House Hotel stood on the south east corner of King Street West and York Street in Toronto's Financial district. Officially opened in May 1857, the five story luxury hotel (for its day) was built by Charles and Marcus Rossin, jewellers and land speculators.

In 1862 the inside of the building was destroyed by a fire, but it was reconstructed by James G. Chewett with few changes and reopened in 1867.

The hotel was renamed the Prince George Hotel by 1913 but closed in the late 1930's, and was torn down in 1969.
