Archives of Ontario Visual Database

Since 1998 the Archives of Ontario (Archives publiques de l'Ontario in French) has been digitizing their collection of maps, photos, and art. The Bureau of Archives, as it was originally known, was founded in 1903 and is currently located at York University. It is made up of many government records, as well as personal and corporate private records from the Eaton's, Conn Smythe, and Moriyama and Teshima Architects Ltd. In 2001 the collection was made available online, and has been growing ever since.

You can search the collection online here which includes a wide range of subjects across Ontario and Canada.

We have 251 records from this source in our database ranging from 1793 to 1995.
